GENERAL OVERVIEW

COURSE AIMS
International Foundation Year (IFY) is an integral pathway to enter a university abroad, mostly in the UK and Australia. It is designed for international students. The programme not only provides educational standards to meet international requirements but also prepares students with extended English competence, advanced study skills and excellent life experience.

The primary objective of the programme is to help students improve their English skills to a 6.5 or higher IELTS level.  Students begin the course at Intermediate level and study through into an Advanced level.

The secondary aim of the programme is to prepare students academically for life at foreign universities.  For example, students will spend considerable time researching, compiling reports and giving presentations, all of which are required of university students.  At the same time, there is a substantial focus on preparing students for the cultural aspect of living abroad, because we want to ensure that they will adapt and assimilate to their respective countries of studying and living

• - Associate Members of the British Council’s Education UK Partnership
• - Qualifications listed by UCAS, meaning students can apply to any UK university
• - Navitas Group (14 universities in the UK, Australia and other universities)

• - On successful completion of the IFY you can be placed at one of the NCC Education and Navitas member universities in the UK and Australia.
• - You can save up to 75% of expenses for an equivalent course in the UK or Australia and 40% of expenses compared to an A-level course in the UK over 2 years.
• - The programme is a refined balance of required knowledge and essential skills that provides you with a firm foundation for your success at higher levels when studying overseas.
• - NCC Education graduates have a better chance of obtaining a visa than students who have not attended this programme due to their improved study record and higher level qualifications.
